Tuner, MR Car Design, has launched a special edition based on the new Volkswagen Scirocco; called Black Rocco. This special edition combines design changes and increased performance into one kit.
The output of the 2.0-litre engine rises to 275 kW and 519 N.m of torque by optimising the software, downpipe and MR Car Design Stage 3 Turbo kit. The TÜV certified custom sport exhaust has been optimised for backpressure and adds to the increased power output. A 35% fins limited slip differential is also installed to ensure that the power reaches the road with limited wheelspin. The DSG-Software for the gearbox has also been tweaked to take advantage of the increased power and torque.
What speeds up, must slow down and so the Black Rocco is fitted with a four-piston Stoptech brake system with two-pieces slotted discs – size 355 mm × 32 mm.
The 20-inch Stradra alloy wheels from Emotion Wheels, are fitted with Hankook S1 EVO tyres (235/30) and round out the package.
The body kit originates from Rieger and consists of a front apron, side skirts and rear valance with diffuser. KW Automotive delivered V3-coilovers lower the cars centre of gravity and provide the handling to exploit the added power. The final touch is a fashionable matte black finish on the bodywork.
