We have owned 7 MK1 Golfs since 1984 and they were all good. It varied from a 1981 1100L to the latest 1400 CITI SPORT. It is sad to see this legend go but, we will keep them alive until there are no spares available. That could be a while as we still buy beetle spares without to much of a problem. Long live the CITI.

I bid my farewell with a very heavy heart!
I can’t believe it’s time to say good bye and I’ve just joined the VW team about two years ago, and it’s been the most AWESOME two years driving. My Citi Golf is my first car and I still remember the first night I got my car I slept in her in the garage.
The Citi Golf is one of the funkiest cars on the road. I love the fact that I can park next to any car and know mine still draws attention.

i am very sad to learn that VW is bidding farewell to citi golf. City golf has been a luxury car to both the rich and the poor alike,what i liked about the car was that every one could build it at the street corner and pride themselves with it, but it has also been a target of highjackeings, i wonder where will they turn to now that citi golf is no more. bye citi u will be sadly missed.
