Renault SA Launches Longer-Term Warranty

Posted on 13 January 2010 by Scott

Renault South Africa has announced a new 150 000 km / 5 year warranty that comes standard when purchasing any of the brands latest models. This includes the Twingo, Clio, Logan, Mégane, Scénic, Koleos and Sandero, all of which have been launched in the past 10 months.

The new warranty forms part of the manufacturers 110% Customer Commitment campaign, which aims to make cost of ownership even more attractive to owners and potential buyers of any new model.

“The extended duration of our product warranty underscores the confidence that we have in our new range across-the-board,” says Régis Fricotte, Vice President of Marketing at Renault. “It is a very exciting step for us and we believe is great news for anyone in the process of making a buying decision.”

Renault’s new warranty positions the brand ahead of its closest rivals in this area of quality and brings it on par with the offerings by Hyundai and KIA. Fricotte added “While they might be leading in the volume stakes, Renault has overtaken them in terms of affording our customers ‘peace of mind’ motoring. “In fact, we believe that our new warranty period together with our service plans on the majority of our product range makes Renault the leader in After-Sales support programmes.”
