ISS Forged Creates Stunning Blonix M8 3-Piece Wheels For Toyota 86

Wheel manufacturer ISS Forged has just released their Blonix M8 wheels for the Scion FR-S. Apart from looking abso-bloody-lutely fabulous, ISS say the M8 is the first forged 3-piece wheel for the Toyota 86, or Scion FR-S in the States.

ISS Forged say their new 3-piece Blonix M8 alloy highlights the 86’s pure sports car character and we’re certainly not going to argue. Each Blonix M8 is constructed using high quality, aerospace-grade, forged aluminum alloy, to provide a lightweight and strong wheel that improves overall vehicle performance and style.

Shown here on a ‘Raven Black’ Scion FR-S, ISS Forged bolted on a set of 19-inch Blonix M8’s, which have been given a light-tinted clear finish to contrast the sinister Raven Black exterior paint. Taking performance and grip to the next level are Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tyres in sizes 235/35/19 front and 275/30/19 at the rear. The finishing touch on the FR-S and giving it a perfect stance, are a set of KW coilovers that will no doubt sharpen the car’s already precise handling.

The new Blonix M8 forged wheels are available in a variety of sizes and finishes for the center discs, inner-, and outer rims. Each wheel is machined to the OE bolt circle, centre bore and offset requirements, and comes standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) holes. As an option, ISS Forged offer a weight-optimised ‘Race Prep’ package for better overall driving performance together with the Blonix M8 forged wheels, although the company hasn’t provided details of what the package involves.

We’ve had a look at some of the aftermarket wheels being fitted to the new Toyota 86 and Scion FR-S, but to-date, these Blonix M8 units are our favourite. What do think of the M8 wheels and if you owned a new 86, what would your list of modifications include?

Update: We’ve been in touch with ISS Forged in Miami, who’ve told us the Blonix M8 are available in sizes 18- to 22-inch and prices start at US$3000. ISS Forged does not have an agent in SA as yet, but say they welcome any enquiries.
