LaFerrari owners approached for Spyder version?
Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne might have let slip one of the biggest secrets of the hypercar world – Ferrari could build a Spyder version of the LaFerrari bound to be louder, sexier and pricier.
In a recent interview with Automobile Mag, Marchionne went as far as saying that potential customers for the new car had already been approached.
Of course, these potential customers would have to be one of the existing 499 LaFerrari owners, meaning that the mega wealthy are sort of ‘forced’ to take the new model simply by circumstance. Tough life decisions.
The mechanical composition probably won’t deviate from the original and weight increase (fabric roof seems likely) will probably be negligible. Certainly not a concern for that 588kW V12 fitted with an additional 120kW of KERS energy recovery.
Other details are under wraps but some sources close to the project have suggested that the new LaFerrari Spyder could arrive next year.
