These are new pictures of the upcoming Porsche GT2 RS. The fastest Porsche 911 ever will have its official debut in four days, but until then, have a closer look at these latest pictures.
If you look closely, you will spot a carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre air inlets, carbon fibre rear view mirror caps, centerlock wheels, new front spoiler, carbon fibre seats, an alcantara steering wheel and an alcantara interior trim. The normal manual gearbox is installed and not a PDK system.
The ‘ultimate’ GT2 is rumoured to have 462 kW and weigh 90 kg’s less than the ‘normal’ GT2. The vehicle is limited to only 300 units. In four days Porsche is expected to release official information, including pictures and a complete spec sheet. In addition to the new GT2 RS, a regular GT2 will also be launched. This model is expected to feature slightly revised styling and a milder 410 kW output.

First posted on TeamSpeed’s forums, the GT2 RS has been unofficially revealed for the first time, including some speculative numbers that will even best the Porsche Carerra GT.
According to a TeamSpeed forum member that was invited to a VIP-only reveal over the weekend, Porsche’s next car in the GT2 family will be a 462 kilowatt track monster, capable of accelerating from zero-to-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The GT2 RS is also reportedly capable of reaching 200 km/h “well below 10 seconds,” and from zero-to-300 km/h “well below 25 seconds.” The GT2 RS has also been spied testing on the Nurburing, setting a reported best lap time of 7:22.
Although the camera phone picture is lacking in quality, the person who took it claims to also have confirmation that the side intakes and vents around the exhaust will be constructed of carbon fibre. The GT2 RS will borrow some components from the GT3 RS, such as the wheels with centrelocks, a wider front track thanks to extensions and the interior will utilize fabric door pulls.
The GT2 RS will also weigh in at about 90 kilograms less than the GT2, which when coupled with the increased power, should provide for substantially upgraded performance in all regards.
Porsche is scheduled to release the full details on May 14, 2010, with the car set to go on sale in Europe in September 2010.

It’s been long time coming but finally, we have a semblance of proof from Hennessey that the Venom GT is alive and well.
It shouldn’t have even come to this point because the car was expected to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. But reportedly, there wasn’t enough room for the Venom GT to strut its wares, so Hennessey eventually decided to hold off the car’s debut until March 30.
As the first production car from a renowned tuning house, the Venom GT is a twin-turbo LS9 V8 engine Lotus-based machine that is poised to drop the jaws of anyone who gets too close to it. The car is available in three set-ups, specifically 540 kW, 745 kW and 895 kW – with all of its power converted to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The car is expected to reach a top speed of 420 km/h – yes, you read that right, with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of, wait for it…2.2 seconds!
It’s going to take a few more weeks before we see the Hennessey Venom GT in the flesh. But for now, consider this teaser photo of the car, shrouded in minimal lighting, as the first appetizer before the full entree is served on the 30th of March.

The rumours have been put to bed by Lamborghini officials, who confirmed the release of the new Superleggera during a presentation in London last week. Although the ‘570-4′ number designation has not yet been confirmed, it is safe to assume it the new car will carry the number combination inline with its performance figures.
The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4 will share the same gearbox options as the LP560-4. As the name suggests, there will be a modest 7 kW (10 bhp) power increase, pushing total power output up to 419 kW. In keeping with the Superleggera tradition, 70 kilograms will be shed to bring the overall weight down to 1 430 kg’s. The latest Superleggera is expected to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and will no doubt benefit from a slightly higher top speed than its ’standard’ LP560-4 sibling.
The car will be offered in six colours; Orange, Grey, Lime Green, Yellow, Black and White, with exclusive green, red and white ‘Superleggera’ decals along the side skirt.
There will also be the opportunity for owners to match the leather stitching of the interior to the colour of the exterior in green, orange, and yellow Superleggera’s. White, grey and black Superleggera’s will have the same option but with grey stitching instead.
The Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera will have its official release at this years Geneva Motor Show, starting on 2 March.
Thanks to the amazing work of automotive illustrator, Jon Sibal, we can bring you digital renderings of what the new supercar is expected to look like.

Successors to the current line-up of Zonda’s have been discussed before, but not to the extent as mentioned below. During an interview with Argentina Autoblog, Horacio Pagani shed some light on the release of the ‘C9? at the end of this year.
The supercar is all-new and contains 3770 new components. The chassis is made of carbon-titanium, there’s a new undercarriage and one-of-a-kind Pirelli tyres. The vehicle will use an AMG sourced 6,0-litre V12 bi-turbo engine producing up to 515 kW and 1000 N.m of torque.
The Pagani C9 conforms to all emissions laws, including those in the States. Its design is completely different to that of the current Pagani Zonda, despite being from the same family. The looks of the car are said to be inspired by modern aeroplanes.
The new C9 is expected to be produced in far greater numbers than its predecessor. Fourty cars will be produced and sold annually worldwide, for a price of around €900 000 – before taxes.
To make sure that the production of the vehicle stays in-house, Pagani is preparing to open a brand new factory. The new facility in Modena, Italy, will be three times larger than the existing factory and will start its operation after the new C9 is introduced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

This time in 2009 rumours of a track focused Porsche GT2 RS emerged. A year later, the tantalising tale continues, although it is certainly closer to reality as more details along with spyshots and renderings have emerged.

The Porsche 997 GT2 already packs a punch with its 3,6-litre twin-turbo producing 390 kW and 680 N.m of torque. The GT2 RS will reportedly receive Porsche’s latest 3,8-litre 6-cylinder engine thereby bumping power up to 405 kW or even as high as 425 kW, with upwards of 700 N.m of torque available.
Adding to the Porsche 997 GT2 RS excitement are the weight saving details. Expect sporting equipment to be carried over from the GT3 RS, including the lightweight, centre-locking wheels, carbon-fibre bucket seats, roll cage, lightweight door panels and rear window, as well as an optional lithium-ion battery that saves 10 kg’s alone. Total weight reduction should be between 80 and 100 kg’s.
Exterior changes will include a carbon rear spoiler, wider wheel arches and special colour schemes to highlight the racing orientation of the car. No further details or release date are available at the moment, but expect the veil to be lifted towards the end of the year. In the meantime though, take a look at the spyshots and renderings of what will be the most powerful Porsche 911 ever produced.

Few visionaries have bred as many supercar brands as Lee Noble. The British sportscar guru is responsible for the Noble M12 and M400, the Ascari Ecosse, the Ultima GTR, Rossion Q1 and Salica GT, to name just a few. And now he’s looking to add one more to the list with the announcement of his latest project: Fenix Automotive.
These are the first official shots of Fenix Automotive’s new supercar, which is due for sale in the UK towards the second half of this year.
While Lee Noble has given a strong hint that the car will be a ‘natural, but even more focused’ successor to his iconic M12, his new design is fresh, bold and dramatic, with a premium feel normally associated with exotica costing over £150 000.
“The M12 was hugely successful, but we needed to move the game on in terms of design,” said Lee. “The new car’s styling owes nothing to what I’ve done before and has quite literally been a ‘clean sheet’ exercise from the start. It’s edgy, with powerful lines, and aerodynamically will be in another league to any of my previous cars.”

Fenix also announced that it will be offering a choice of two engines for the new car. GM’s 353 kW LS3 V8 will be the ‘base’ unit, while the 6,2-litre supercharged LS9 V8, as seen in the recently launched Corvette ZR1, will provide customers with a 469 kW power option.
Factor in a target kerb weight of 1 200 kg’s, and performance in either car will be prodigious, but Fenix estimates that the LS9-engined car should accelerate from zero to 160 km/h in under seven seconds on its way to a top speed of around 320 km/h.
“Our first prototype is now in build and development will start in around one month’s time,” said Lee. “We’ll be hot-weather testing the first prototype on the mountain roads around Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where the car will be manufactured. But I’m itching to get the car back to the UK where I can set it up on roads I know well.”

Press Release
Aston Martin’s One-77 supercar has moved closer to setting a new all-time record for the British marque in initial high speed testing after surpassing all predictions and breaking the 220mph mark.
The One-77 is currently undergoing a stringent development process ahead of planned launch in 2010 with high speed testing taking place at a top secret proving ground in southern Europe. In a series of test runs completed last week the One-77 exceeded original expectations and recorded a 220.007mph (354.86kmh) top speed in dry but windy conditions under the guidance of the Aston Martin engineering team. Dynamic testing is now scheduled to continue into the New Year.
Powered by a new Aston Martin 7.3 litre V12 engine, the One-77 is engineered to deliver breathtaking levels of power and performance. The dramatically styled two-door, two-seat sports coupe is based on an innovative new carbon fibre monocoque body structure and adopts new active aerodynamic technology.
The One-77 is the ultimate expression of what Aston Martin stands for and will combine modern technology and design with craftsmanship and ultimate exclusivity to create the world’s most desirable automotive art form.

Few will ever contest the exclusivity of owning an Aston Martin. Any Aston Martin will do, but it doesn’t get any better than the supercars in the line-up, being the DBS and V12 Vantage.
But if you reckon there are a few too many of these models around, then I suspect you’ll be more than pleased with the Carbon Black Special Editions, which the company has just announced.
If you choose either of these models, expect bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint with a subtle metallic twist for a rich patina finish.
But this is no ordinary paint job. Each car will require an incredible 50 man-hours of hand painting with stringent quality control to ensure a perfect finish.
The traditional Aston Martin side strake is finished in proper carbon fibre, backed by black mesh along with a set of superb gloss black 10-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels.
It’s all about black inside the car too with Obsidian Black leather with contrasting sliver course stitch – hand stitched of course by craftspeople at Aston Martin headquarters in England.

Special lightweight seats made from carbon fibre and Kevlar replace the standard sports seats, saving a significant 17 kilograms per seat.
Continuing with the all-black theme, the facia, centre stack and centre console are trimmed Piano black along with anodised black tread plates and carbon sill plaques.
Audio in the V12 Vantage is a 700w premium system, which we rate as the best standard fit in car audio system we have heard in 2009, while the DBS is fitted the incomparable Bang & Olufsen Beosound DBS system as standard kit.
Order the Carbon Black Edition V12 Vantage then you will have the opportunity to experience Aston Martin’s Performance Driving Course (UK and Europe only) free of charge, which should be hugely rewarding for any owner.
