Google Street View Features Race Tracks

Posted on 19 August 2009 by Scott

With the advent of Google Street View, we were able to view numerous places. From interesting shots of people doing, umm, interesting things; a row of Ferraris; even a shot of the Google camera car getting a ticket, the list of interesting shots and places all caught by that roving eye of the Google camera car continues to grow.

And here’s a good one to add to that list. For car fans like us, this is probably one of the coolest Google Street Views. Google got inside the Laguna Seca race track in Monterey, CA. What’s even cooler, is that it was driving around with a pack of AMLS racing cars.

Below is the actual Street view or should I say Track view. Use your mouse to drag the cursor around to check out the view.

Technically, it isn’t the entire race circuit, but it’s pretty nifty nonetheless. Take a look at the screenshot below and a photo of the Google camera car in action.
