The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place this weekend, July 12 – 14, and a few manufacturers, including Jaguar, are using the event to showcase a number of concepts and new production cars. In this video we see the Jaguar Project 7 concept being given its first ‘shakedown’.
The Project 7 takes its name from the seven wins racked up by Jag at Le Mans between 1951 and 1990. The Project 7 is based on the new F-Type, but has been converted to a single-seater design and given a number of aerodynamic enhancements.
Changes include a deeper front bumper with splitter, new side skirts, rear diffuser and the obvious fixed rear wing. The interior is a single-seat affair, with racing harness, helmet holder and custom trim. Power comes from a tuned version of the F-Type V8S with 404 kW. The suspension is 10 mm lower and stiffened for improved handling.
