The new Range Rover Sport is more stylish and sophisticated than ever before. It’s also more capable than it has even been, prompting the question: do you really need a Range Rover Vogue? To prove just how seriously down and dirty the Sport version of their Range Rover can comfortably get, Land Rover ventured to the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia. It’s the largest sand desert in the world with around 800 km of hostile sand, dunes and temperatures as high as 50 celcius. They commissioned Dakar Rally driver Moi Torrallardona to pilot the Sport across the expanse in 10 hours 22 minutes, at an average speed of 82.72 km/h.
