The Renault Duster is being marketed with the catch phrase of “It’s Time for Tough!”, but the Dakar Rally takes no prisoners and so Renault have built their toughest Duster yet. Two 2014 Duster Dakar SUVs have been fitted with a new body, suspension, wheels and a 3.5-litre V6 engine. No performance specs are available, but the Duster entered the 2013 Dakar Rally with around 225 kW driving through all four wheels. The Renault Duster Team will be looking to do far better than the 29th position they managed in 2013 and we wish them the best of luck.
