Now we don’t know how accurate the tale is – you can never trust such a heartwarming story in today’s cynical age - but frankly we don’t care. The idea is great, the restoration process of the Series 1 Defender appears as legendary as they come and Land Rover didn’t try sell us a new Discovery Sport at the end.
