Formula One has at last done something right; the new rules that make the 1.6-litre V6 turbo and hybrid engines louder, seems to be working. Ferrari is the first team to fire up their new engine for the fans through a new promo video and even though the clip is short we’re now excited for March 20th when the season begins.
The rulebook has been edited with this; “A separate exhaust wastegate tailpipe through which all and only wastegate exhaust gases must pass.” A fancier way of saying, ‘make the exhaust pipe bigger?’ Ferrari has been working hard on a higher combustion design which could also cause that raw and explosive noise.
