MSO builds kilo-saving carbon package for 675LT

With McLaren’s carbon fibre department working around the clock, the British supercar builder has introduced another limited edition model reserved for 25 customers.

Based on the 675LT (significant in its own right for reviving McLaren’s Longtail nameplate) the MSO Carbon Series 675LT is covered in nearly 40% additional carbon compared to the original’s skin. All the parts have been designed and fitted by the MSO team so it blends in smoothly while enhancing the car’s performance and handling.

Displaying the carbon fibre work is the larger splitter, wider intakes, new skirts and front underbody while inspection of the rear’s detail reveals new fenders, an updated deck, rear bumper, deck and side blades.  From that deluge of aerodynamic jargon which not everyone will understand, a lighter fuel filler cap is the obvious sign that this 650LT is special.

Those taking delivery later this year will get some additional features like the retractable roof and tonneau done in a gloss finish to demonstrate the intricate precision achieved by McLaren’s finest craftsman.  The other standard feature is McLaren’s telemetry system which includes three track cameras.

The MSO Carbon Series is powered by the current 3.8-litre V8 twin turbo packing 497kW and 700Nm. Thanks to the lighter frame, acceleration to 100km/h is under three seconds and it’ll cut through air resistance to a top speed of 325km/h.
